User Roles
How business owners create and manage staff roles that control which parts of NuForce a team member can access.
User Roles
This screen lets you define the roles used across your organization and set which areas of NuForce each role can reach. Use it to decide what office staff, managers, and field teams are allowed to open in the app.
What you can do here
- See a list of every role you have created, showing the role's name and its level (Office Role or Field Team).
- Create a new role with the New Role button.
- Edit an existing role to change its name, level, access policy, description, accessible areas, or active status.
- Delete a role you no longer need (you are asked to confirm before it is removed).
- Turn a role on or off with the Active Role switch, without deleting it.
When you create or edit a role, the form asks for:
- Name: what you call the role (for example, "Dispatcher" or "Field Tech").
- For: the level the role applies to, Office Role or Field Team.
- Access Policy: the permission level tied to the role. Office Roles can be set to Business Admin or Service Manager. Field Team roles can be set to Team Leader or Team Member.
- Description: free text to explain what the role is for.
- Access Areas: which parts of NuForce the role can open, chosen from Business Manager, Service Center, Service Manager, and Human Resources. You can select more than one.
- Active Role: a switch to enable or disable the role.
Role names must be unique within your business, so you cannot create two roles with the same name.
Steps
- Open User Roles from the Business Manager organization menu.
- Click New Role to start a role, or click Edit on an existing one.
- Enter a name and choose whether it's an Office Role or Field Team.
- Choose the matching Access Policy for that level.
- Add a description if you want one, and pick the Access Areas the role should be able to reach.
- Leave Active Role on, or switch it off to disable the role without deleting it.
- Click Save.
- To remove a role, click Delete on its row and confirm.
