Regions
How to view, create, edit, nest, and delete the regions used to organize your NuForce service area.
Regions
This screen lists the regions you use to organize your service area, and lets you add, edit, nest, and remove them.
What you can do here
- View your regions in a list showing each region's Name and Type.
- Click Create New to add a top-level region.
- Click New Child on any region's row to add a sub-region underneath it, building a hierarchy (for example, a zone nested inside a larger territory). The new region is linked to that parent automatically, no need to set it yourself.
- Click Edit on a region to open it and change its details.
- Click Delete on a region to remove it. You're asked to confirm before it's actually removed.
Steps
To add a region:
- Click Create New above the list.
- Enter a Name for the region.
- Optionally fill in Abbr. (a short code) and Dial Prefix.
- Turn Active on so the region is available for use, or leave it off to keep it out of use for now.
- Click Save.
To add a sub-region under an existing one:
- Click New Child on the parent region's row instead of Create New.
- Fill in the same Name, Abbr., Dial Prefix, and Active fields.
- Click Save. The region is created under the parent you started from.
To edit or remove a region:
- Click Edit on its row to change its Name, Abbr., Dial Prefix, or Active status, then Save.
- Click Delete on its row, and confirm, to remove it for good.
Regions you set up here are the same ones used elsewhere in NuForce to group your service area, so keeping this list accurate helps keep jobs and contacts organized by location.
